From A Writer, To a Writer

From Romance to Historical, Poetry to Fantasy, there are millions of stories that have been told throughout the years that we humans have decided to pick up a utensil and write. And no matter how many get put onto paper, we still always manage to think of more.

Do you ever wonder why that could be?

So do I.

My Origin Story

When I was very young, I'd say about seven, I decided to write a story about my old pup, Ohana. But just writing about her wasn't good enough for me, you see I liked the fictional stories the best. So I decided to make her fly. I had her leaping off our roof and soaring up through the clouds, only to return home for the Milkbone cookies we used to give her.

As I got older, I began to find the books that really made me get lost. And they all happened to be about strange distant worlds and giant fire breathing dragons. The more I read them, the more my writing style began to mimic them. Soon, I had created hundreds of different worlds, both just in my head as well as in the journals I couldn't seem to stop buying.

Nowadays, I've delved into the beauty of Poetry and the natural flow of Nonfiction, but Fantasy and Science Fiction hold a special place in my heart.

And I can't help but look back and think, how cool would it have been to get to know other writers my age sooner? Get my work looked at and both give and get some helpful tips.

Look no further, guys. You've found a place to start.
